Nevin Hawkins

Mr. Nevin Keith Hawkins, age 50 of Blytheville, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 at his home. Born February 1, 1965 in Paragould, Arkansas, he was the son of Jason Clifford and Bernadine Burgess Hawkins, Jr. and had been a longtime area resident. Mr. Hawkins was of the Baptist faith and had attended Leachville High School. Mr. Hawkins enjoyed fishing, playing Texas Hold-Em, watching movies and spending time with his grandchildren. His family would like Nevin to be remembered for his good sense of humor. He is survived by his mother: Bernadine Herren of Blytheville, Arkansas; two daughters: Latosha Hawkins of Blytheville, Arkansas and Rachel Nicole Craine and husband Doug of Armorel, Arkansas; six grandchildren: Jamison, Conner, Alora, Haylee, Kayla and Wyatt; one sister-in-law: Patti Hawkins of Manila, Arkansas; one brother: David Herren of Caruthersville, Missouri; one sister: Patricia McWilliams of Caruthersville, Missouri; his best friend: Jim Hall of Blytheville, Arkansas. Mr. Hawkins also leaves several nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends. Mr.Hawkins was preceded in death by his father: J.C. Hawkins; his step-father: Frank Herren and one brother: David Brent Hawkins. Funeral Services will be Friday, August 28, 2015 at 1:00pm at the Jesus Name Tabernacle Church in Caruthersville, Missouri with Rev. Richard Lee officiating. Burial will follow in the Linwood Cemetery in Paragould, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors Friday, August 28, 2015 from 11:00am until service time at the church.
