Charles Foley

Mr. Charles Lavance Foley, 83, of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away Thursday, August 14, 2014 at St. Bernard Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born January 10, 1931 in Alicia, Arkansas to the late Leonard and Mable Hawk Foley. Mr. Foley was of the Baptist faith, and he helped build and start two churches in Jonesboro, Arkansas, North Main Baptist church and Victory Baptist church. He served in the Army and Navy, and he was a retired security guard for St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He enjoyed painting and repairing cars and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his wife; Mary, of the home; three sons: Ronnie Foley of Pocahontas, Arkansas, Charles Leon Foley and wife Doris of Calamine, Arkansas and Ricky Lynn Foley of Jonesboro, Arkansas; two daughters: Beverly Sue Cox and husband Ray of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Sharon Melinda Gilliam and husband Chris of Jonesboro, Arkansas; ten grandchildren, several great grandchildren, one sister and a host of other family and friends. Mr. Foley was preceded in death by his parents, one son, two brothers and three sisters. Private services and disposition will be under the direction of Faith Funeral Service, Manila, Arkansas.
