Eugene Burks

Mr. Eugene Burks, 80, of Trumann, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Mr. Burks was born on May 7, 1934 in Burdette, Arkansas to the late Chester and Zelma Scott Burks. Mr. Burks was a member of the New Liberty Baptist Church in Burdette, served his country in the Army Reserves, retired from the Singer Company in Trumann and Wendy’s of the South in Jonesboro, and he was an avid outdoorsman. Survivors include; his wife of 59 years: Shirley Burks of the home; two sons: David and Lynn Burks both of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one brother: Milton Burks of Birmingham, Alabama; six grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Mr. Burks was preceded in death by his parents. The family request private services and disposition under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
