Maybell Rooks Morris

Mrs. Maybell Rooks Morris, age 84 of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born in Bald Knob, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Ullis and Elsie Rutherford Fergerson and was a caregiver. She was a member of the Holden Avenue Church, enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren and loved her dogs. She is survived by two sons: Roy L Rooks and wife Diana of Fenton, Missouri and Marvin Gene Rooks of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one daughter: Karen Dale and husband Ronnie of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one brother: Bob Fergerson of Pontiac, Michigan. Mrs. Morris also leaves four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: Marvin Rooks and Herman Morris; two grandsons: Todd Rooks and Joe Allen Rooks; one brother: Raymond Fergerson. The family has requested private burial and disposition under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas. Any memorials may be made to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
