Sarah Myrtle See

Mrs. Sarah Myrtle See, age 76 of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away August 13, 2013 at her home. Born December 22, 1936 in Pontiac, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Flossie Parker Shipley. Mrs. See was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed knitting, bowling, going to church and spending time with her family. She is survived by her husband of 59 years Kenneth See; six sons: Kenneth W. See Jr. and wife Claudia of Romeo, Michigan; David See and wife Robin of Harrison, Tennessee, Will Rogers See and wife Terri of Pocahontas, Arkansas, Edwin See, Sr. of Jonesboro, Arkansas., Harold See and wife Tena of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Jack Shipley and wife Reba of Jonesboro, Arkansas; four daughters: Anna Marie See of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Sarah M. Troost and husband Raymond, Jr. of Pocahontas, Arkansas, Gloria Deuel of Bono, Arkansas and Mary Troost and husband Raymond, III of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Mrs. See also leaves 41 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. See was preceded in death by a sister June Ogles. Funeral services will be Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 12:00pm at the First Assembly of God Church on Stone Street in Jonesboro, Arkansas with Rev. Matt Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors Friday, August 16, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 at the church. Pallbearers will be: William See, Edwin See, Raymond Troost, III, Raymond Troost, IV, Jeremiah See and J.C. Deuel, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be: Jack Shipley, Wilburn See, David John See and Tommy Troost.

    I'm so sorry to hear that Sarah passed away. From the moment I meet her, she treated me just like one of her kids, and the last time I saw her she treated me the same way. I always felt welcome in her home. I know she will be missed terribly.
