Walter Frank Ellis

Walter Frank Ellis, age 70 of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born April 10, 1946 in Paragould, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Verne Wesley Ellis and Verna Merle Sanders. Mr. Ellis was a retired Air Force MSGT and loved his country. He was a gifted artist, collector of comics, and loved trains. He read his Bible every day, and was a huge supporter of charities. He loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of forty one years: Sudjai Ellis of the home; one son: Wesley Ellis (Barbara), of Jonesboro, Arkansas; three daughters: Barbara Michelle Ellis Beasley (Joshua) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Verna Ellis (Robby) of Rogers, Arkansas; and Shirley Ellis Orsborne (Daniel) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; three brothers: Bob Ellis (Allison) of Gulfport, Mississippi ;Gary Ellis of Paragould, Arkansas; and Billy Chapman (Sonya) of Paragould, Arkansas; three sisters: Cheryl Fields (Mark) of Paducah, Kentucky; Melove Prusha of Paragould, Arkansas; and Lisa Chapman Swan of Clarksville, Tennessee; and ten grandchildren: Cody Andis, Tai Goad, Jackson Beasley, Gracie Orsborne, Logan Orsborne, Zoey Ellis, Sydney Beasley, Selene Ellis, Bailey Ellis, and Jayden Ellis. Mr. Ellis also leaves a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister: Mary Boren. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Paragould Church of God, at 1404 Hwy. 49 B, Paragould, Arkansas with Rev. Gary Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Linwood Cemetery, Paragould, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors at the church on Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family has requested to make donations to the Disabled American Veterans at www.dav.org/donate. The family would also like to send a special thank you to the entire staff at the Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.     To Walter Ellis family I loved taking care of your dad he was so sweet and talked to me about God a lot . We had lots of conversations while he was at the hospice house I will truly miss him, God got himself another angel. Thank you for the flowers and candy . We love yal guys . Angie Whitley
