Virgie Mae Morris

Virgie Mae Morris, age 78 of Paragould, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould, Arkansas. Born March 18, 1938 in Harrisburg, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Mae Slayden Bice. Ms. Morris was a lifelong area resident and a member of the Oak Grove Heights Baptist Church for forty seven years. She earned her nursing degree in the late seventy’s. Ms. Morris always enjoyed making flower arrangements, gardening, cooking, and decorating cakes. She loved spending time with her family, especially all of her grandchildren. She is survived by five sons: Chris Morris and wife Victoria, of Gosnell, Arkansas; Anthony Morris and wife Debbie, of West Plains, Missouri; Rodney Morris and wife Jonie, of Oak Grove, Arkansas; Charles Ray Morris and wife Robin, of Abiline, Kansas; Matthew Morris, of Oak Grove, Arkansas; one brother: Billy Bice, of Grubbs, Arkansas; two sisters: Judy Tubbs, of Grubbs, Arkansas; and Geneva Moffitt, of Paragould Arkansas; twenty five grandchildren; and twenty two great grand children. Ms. Morris also leaves a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Charles Morris; one son: Jeffery Clark Morris and one grandson: Jason Eric Morris. Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the Oak Grove Heights Baptist Church, in Oak Grove, Arkansas with Bro. Bill Dowdy and Bro. David Stallings officiating. Interment will follow at New Friendship Cemetery, Paragould, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors at the church on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas is in charge of the arrangements.
