Larry Clay Walker

Mr. Larry Clay Walker, of 68 of Harrisburg, Arkansas, passed away at his home. Born January 18, 1947 in Maryville, Tennessee he was the son of the late Roy Chester and Hazel Clayeough Walker. Mr. Walker was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War in the United States Army in special forces and was a prisoner of war. He enjoyed watching FOX news, going out to eat, shopping and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife: Shawnda Walker of Marked Tree, Arkansas; three daughters: Tiffanie Walker of Harrisburg, Arkansas; Whitely Smith of Paragould, Arkansas; Shelbie Emberton of Clinton, Arkansas; five grandchildren: Megan Bornhoft, Brittani Dixon, Hayleigh Tarwater, Jacob Walker and Ezekiel Johnson; one brother: Steve Walker of West Columbia, Texas; four sisters: Linda Martin of Burleson, Texas; Sharon Grebe of Shreveport, Louisiana; Patricia Evans of Burleson, Texas and Kathy Jones of Odessa, Texas. Mrs. Walker also leaves a host of other family and friends. Mr. Walker was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral service will be 12:00pm Monday, November 9, 2015 at the Eastside Baptist Church in Trumann, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas. Burial will follow in the Birdeye Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors from 11:00am until service time.
