Mary Kathryn McElroy Yates

Mrs. Mary Kathryn McElroy Yates, age 78 of Monette, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born March 4, 1937 in Mississippi County, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Ray and Lilly Murphy Fortson. Mrs. Yates was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed traveling and working in her beauty shop. She is survived by two sons: Ronnie McElroy and wife Missy of Knoxville, Tennessee and Shann McElroy and wife Cathy of Monette, Arkansas; two grandchildren: Christopher McElroy and Heather McElroy; two step-grandchildren: Greydon Williams and Leo Thompson; two step-daughters: Rhonda Yates of Little Rock, Arkansas and Tracy Thompson of Monette, Arkansas; two sisters: Lillian Hanna of Waldren, Arkansas and Brenda Lyons of Waxahachie, Texas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands: Donald McElroy and Doyle Yates; one son: Rickie McElroy; two sisters: Billie Perew, Barbara Moore. Funeral services will be 11:00am Monday, November 30, 2015 at the Faith Funeral Service Chapel in Manila, Arkansas with Bro. Jerry Reed officiating. Burial will follow in the Monette Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors Monday, November 30, 2015 from 10:00am until service time.
