Virginia Louise Davis

Virginia Louise Davis, age 86 of Pocahontas, Arkansas, passed away November 13, 2014 at her home. Born May 11, 1928 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Burley and Marie Whittaker Bradshaw Shackelford. Mrs. Davis was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by one son: Michael Davis and Phyllis of Pocahontas, Arkansas; two daughters: Marsha Barton and Elmer Womack of Pocahontas, Arkansas, Karen Davis of South Haven, Mississippi; one brother: Bill Shackelford of Biloxi, Mississippi. Mrs. Davis also leaves twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her parents: Burley Shackelford and Marie Bradshaw; four brothers: Darrell Shackelford, Bobby Shackelford, Gene Shackelford and Johnny Shackelford; and one great-granddaughter. The family has requested a private service and disposition under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas.
