Ernie David Applegarth

Mr. Ernie David Applegarth, 76, of Lake City, Arkansas, passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at his home. Mr. Applegarth was born on November 17, 1937 in Bono, Arkansas to the late William Robert and Ada Ellen Applegarth. Mr. Applegarth enjoyed riding his bicycle and picking up cans, gardening, and sitting outside feeding the birds and squirrels. Survivors include: one brother: Richard Applegarth of Black Oak, Arkansas; one sister: Helen Fletcher of Williford, Arkansas; two nieces raised as his own children: Jean Hill of Black Oak, Arkansas and Sue Brewer of Lake City, Arkansas; two nephews raised as his own children: Robert Applegarth of Lake City, Arkansas and David Applegarth of Black Oak, Arkansas; and a host of other family and friends. Mr. Applegarth was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Bill and Sam Applegarth, Fred Felty, and Gene Dobbs; four sisters: Alma Cook, Alphie Schaffer, Laverne Redding, and Mary Thompson. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 3:00 pm at First Baptist Church, Lake City, Arkansas with Pastor Rick Davis officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church on Tuesday from 1:00 pm until service time. Private disposition under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
