Glenda Coleman

Mrs. Glenda Javene Swindle Coleman, 77 of Jonesboro, Arkansas, wife of Carl Coleman passed away Friday, November14, 2014 at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice house in Jonesboro. She was born September 23, 1937 at Fontaine, Arkansas to the late Elmer and Cordelia Pratt Swindle. She was a member of Temple Baptist church where she taught a ladies bible class. Mrs. Coleman was always glad to tell others about Christ and her church. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cooking. Mrs. Coleman is survived by her husband of 54 plus years: Carl Coleman of the home; Two sons: Steven and Nathan Coleman both of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one grandson: Skyler Coleman, who has always been the light of her life, also of Jonesboro, Arkansas. One sister: Mary Fortenberry of Paragould, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by: her parents, one sister: Beneta Fielder; five brothers: Elvis, Eldred, Bob, Arlie and Marshall Swindle. Mrs. Coleman also leaves a host of other family and friends. Funeral service will be Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 11:00 am at Temple Baptist church with Bro. Jerry Jolly and Bro. Andy Neil officiating. Interment will follow in Laredo Cemetery in Paragould, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday at the church from 9:30 am until service time. Pallbearers: Keith Fielder, Anthony Fielder, Robin Rhea, Stanley Fortenberry, Don Fortenberry and Jackie Fortenberry.
