Raymond Keith Smolder, Jr.

Mr. Raymond Keith Smolder, Jr., age 52 of Sherwood, Arkansas, passed away November 15, 2014 at the UAMS Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. Born August 4, 1962 in Santa Rosa, New Mexico, he was a United States National Guard Veteran and of the Protestant faith. Mr. Smolder enjoyed fishing, carpentry and music. He is survived by his mother: Linda Zapata; one sister: Shari York of Trumann, Arkansas; two brothers: James Zapata and Tammy of Little Rock, Arkansas and Tommy Zapata and Brandy of Little Rock, Arkansas; two sons: Raymond Smolder and Lea of Cabot, Arkansas and Keith Daniels of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one daughter: Britany Smolder of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Mr. Smolder also leaves five grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Mr. Smolder was preceded in death by his father: Ray Zapata and one son: Alan Smolder. Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at 2:00pm at the First Assembly of God in Trumann, Arkansas with Bro. Kenneth Doke officiating. Burial will follow in the Jonesboro Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors from 12:00pm until time of service at the church. Pallbearers will be: Terry Davis, Justin M.F. Davis, Curtis Lands, Tony Cook, Guy Griffith, Darryl Brown, Scot Williams and GI Joe Crowely. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tommy Zapata. Jr., Jimmy Zapata, Jr. Nick Zapata, Danny Sowells, Brian Brown and David Brown.
