Gordon Bartlett Shannon

Gordon Bartlett Shannon, 81, of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away on Monday, May 28, 2018 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born on June 2, 1936 in Earle, Arkansas to the late Durward Gordon and Alva Bartlett Shannon. He was a member of Grace Baptist Church, retired manager of Sherwin Williams Store, worked as a Shelter Insurance agent for twenty years, and worked for John Deere for twenty years.Survivors include; his wife of 61 years: Elaine Shannon of the home; four children: Pam Clay (Charles) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Sharron Weir of Jonesboro, Arkansas; Alana Pinchback (Dr. Keith,) of Helena, Arkansas, and Bart Shannon of Memphis, Tennessee; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.He was preceded in death by; his parents: Durward and Alva Shannon.Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Grace Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. and interment will follow at Nettleton Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors at the church on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.
