Gerald Wayne McLain

Mr. Gerald Wayne McLain, 59, of Coloma, Michigan passed away Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Lakeland Regional Medical in St. Joseph, Michigan. He was born September 21, 1956 in Oregon County to the late Sarah Combs Woods and James McLain. He was of the Pentecostal faith, an Army Veteran, and worked many years at Wiltse Fencing Company in Michigan. He was a die hard fan of the Michigan Wolverines, enjoyed playing cards and horseshoes. Survivors include two daughters: Dina McLain of Berrien County, Michigan; Tanya Christie of Colorado; nine grandchildren: Eric Davis, Dalton McLain, Syndal Carpenter, Alexas McLain, all of Coloma, Michigan, Paige Davis of Watervliet, Michigan, Cole Yerington of St. Joseph, Michigan, Anthon Miller, Ava Christie, Drew Christie all of Colorado; one great grandchild: Parker Fieds of Coloma, Michigan. Three sisters: Cheryl “Sherry” Lewis of Watervliet, Michigan, Rhonda Webb of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, Jamie Sue Engel of Corning, Arkansas; one brother: Randy Woods of Poplar Bluff, Missouri and Tony Robinson, best friend, who was like a brother to him of Watervliet, Michigan and a host of other family and friends.Mr. McLain was preceded in death by his parents: Noah and Barbara ”Bobbie” Combs, his birth parents, two brothers: Benny and Bobby Ray Woods.Memorial service to be announced at a later date. The family request private disposition under the direction of Faith Funeral Service, Manila, Arkansas. The family has requested that any memorials be made to Faith Funeral Service at 2658 Hwy 18 West Manila, Arkansas 72442.
