Jerry Altschul

Mr. Jerry Altschul, 59, of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away, Monday, May 16, 2016 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born to the late Albert Altschul and Mildred Hodges Altschul in Stuttgart, Arkansas on September 2, 1956.He attended Nettleton Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas and was a part of Celebrate Recovery. He had a passion for cooking, he had worked in Florida and Pine Bluff, Arkansas as a chef. He enjoyed fishing, wrestling, loved doing art work and played the bass guitar in a band in Missouri. Mr. Altschul is survived by his wife: Melinda Denise Altschul, of the home; three brothers: Rickey (Gail) of Harden, Arkansas, Roger (Teri) of Pine Bluff, Arkansas, and Claude Dobbie, jr of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; one sister: Bonnie Chambers (Randy) of Pine Bluff, Arkansas; five nieces: Nina Welch, Kimberly Adams, Kaitlyn Adams, Ashley Cheshire and Kala O’Neal; two nephews: Steven Adams and Steven Cheshire and a host of other family and friends. Mr. Altschul was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister. Memorial service will be Saturday, May 21,2016 at 3:00pm at the Nettleton Baptist Church in Jonesboro, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas.
