Harold Franklin VanDon

Mr. Harold Franklin VanDon, age 75 of Paragould, Arkansas, passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016 at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. He was born July 2, 1940 in Paragould, Arkansas to the late Tilford VanDon and Monia Weaver VanDon and was of the Pentecostal faith. Mr. VanDon enjoyed playing the guitar, singing and eating fish. He is survived by his wife of 24 years: Patricia VanDon of the home; three sons: Larry Wayne Stallings and wife Joan of Paragould, Arkansas, Chris Stallings and wife Brandy of Hendersonville, North Carolina and David Stallings and wife Penny of Paragould, Arkansas; three daughters: Darlene Frost and husband Michael of Paragould, Arkansas, Melissa Stallings of Paragould, Arkansas and Michelle Stallings of Paragould, Arkansas; one brother: Freddy VanDon of Lafe, Arkansas; one sister: Helen Andrews and husband Don of Paragould, Arkansas. Mr. VanDon also leaves fifteen grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son: Kevin VanDon; two brothers: Elbert VanDon and Willis Dewayne VanDon and one grandson: Michael Martin. Funeral services will be 2:00pm Monday, May 23, 2016 at the Oak Grove Heights First Baptist Church in Oak Grove Heights, Arkansas with Pastor David Stallings officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Home Cemetery in Paragould, Arkansas with Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas in charge of arrangements. The family will receive visitors from 12:00pm until 2:00pm Monday, May 23, 2016 at the church. Pallbearers will be Freddy VanDon, Dan Jackson, Drew Grady, Elliott Warren, Chris Stallings and Jerome Weaver. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Frost, Josh VanDon and Brad Andrews.
