Gardner Austin Croom

Mr. Gardner Austin Croom, 85, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, died on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. Mr. Croom was born on April 2, 1929 in Smithville, Arkansas to Floyd and Bess Gardner Croom. Mr. Croom was of the Baptist Faith and enjoyed woodworking. Survivors include; his mother: Bess Holmes; his wife of 22 years: Patsy Croom of the home; one son: Steven Croom of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one daughter: Donna Allen and husband Ira of Jonesboro, Arkansas; three sisters: C. Fae Skinfill of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Thelma Harvey of Rockford, Illinois, and Janette Morgan of Lynn, Arkansas; and a host of other family and friends. Mr. Croom was preceded in death by; his father: Floyd Croom; one son: Ronald Austin Croom. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Dry Creek Cemetery, Strawberry, Arkansas with Pastor Robert Breneman officiating. The family will receive visitors at the cemetery from 1:30 pm until service time under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
