Bertha Mae Reid

Bertha Mae Reid was born August 8, 1933 in Caraway, Arkansas to Borden McConnell and Esther Davis. Sister of Eual Wayne Vanhorn, Melba Jean Downs, Esther Lee Hodges, Anita Huett, Floyd Mc Connell and Ludenna Pettypool. She was wife to Monroe Reid for fifty-two years.Mother of Deliah, Carol Lowery, Lila Denise Treece, Sheila Ann Richmond, and Sonya Dee May (Steve). Grandmother of Sam Isham (Jackie), Trey Austin (Alisha), Brent Isham, Patience Lyssy (Duane), Mandi Stutts (Danny), Melissa Schroeder (Dustin), Chasity Guthrie (Eric), Fred Treece (Tiffany), Amanda Cox (James), Lauren Reid, Charlie Miller (Alisha), Tori Reid and Stevie May and her God grandson, Joshua Rowton. She had twenty great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, friends and family members.She was a singer/songwriter/musician. She performed under the name Misty McConnell. She loved to crochet, play cards and board games with her kids and grandkids.Funeral service will be Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Soul’s Harbor Church, Manila, Arkansas with Pastor Jeff Knowlton officiating. Interment will follow at Caraway Cemetery, Caraway, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.The family will receive visitors Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the church.Pallbearers: Sam Isham, Brent Isham, Fred Treece, Trey Austin, Charlie Miller, Stevie May, Joshua Rowton.
