James Donald Ashcraft

Mr. James Donald Ashcraft, age 78 of Cooter, Missouri, passed away May 31, 2014 at the River Oaks Care Center in Steele, Missouri. Born February 19, 1936 in Rives, Missouri. Mr. Ashcraft enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by two daughters: Renee Northern and husband William of Heber Springs, Arkansas and Donna Tuberville and husband Billy of Marmaduke, Arkansas; one brother: “Shorty” Ortha Lee Ashcraft of Canton, Texas; four sisters: Vada Nichols of Cardwell, Missouri, Marene Waters of Mabelvale, Arkansas, Peggy Wilson of Marmaduke, Arkansas and Shelia Berry of Blytheville, Arkansas. He also leaves five grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Mr. Ashcraft was preceded in death by his parents: Lee and Vada Ashcraft; his wife: Betty June Ashcraft; two brothers: Arthur “Pinky” Ashcraft and Bud Ashcraft; one sister: Erma Hopgood; one grandson: William Tuberville, III. Graveside funeral services will be Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville, Missouri with Sister Laura Butler officiating. Faith Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
