Kathryn Murphree

Kathryn L. Murphree, 79 of Paragould, Arkansas passed away Wednesday April 25, 2018 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House, Jonesboro, Arkansas. She was born in Joiner, Arkansas August 23, 1938 to Leslie James and Mattie Celie McFall Beal. She was a member of the Paragould Church of God, enjoyed watching the birds in her birdfeeders, boat riding, riding horses, shopping, loved shoes, eating out and having a McDonald’s Mocha Fappe, watching soap operas, her favorite was “The Young and the Restless.”Survivors include one daughter: Judy Young (Jerry) of Paragould, Arkansas; two sons: Allen Murphree (LaDonna) of Paragould, Arkansas, Rodger Murphree (Debbie) of Fayetteville, Arkansas, grandchildren: Terry Shirley, Jr., Robbie Shirley, Ricky Shirley, Jeremy Young, Timothy Young, Kathy Osburn, Brandie Murphree, Chris Murphree, Elizabeth Murphree, Taylena Murphree, Brian Murphree, Eric Murphree, twenty six great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild; three brothers: Bob Beal (Madeline) of Austin, Arkansas, Lloyd Beal (Doris) of Linden Illinois, Donnie Beal (Bonnie) of Rector, Arkansas, one sister: Pat “Sissy” Rosnow of Linden, Illinois.In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband; Leon Murphree; one daughter: Debbie Shirley; one grandson: Jase Young; one brother: Lester Beal. Funeral service will be Saturday April 28, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Paragould Church of God, Paragould, Arkansas with Rev. Patrick Tucker and Rev. Gary Smith officiating under the direction of Faith Funeral Service Manila, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors at the church Friday, April 27, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Pallbearers: Terry Shirley, Jr., Tim Young, Brian Murphree, Chris Murphree, Robert Medcalf, Steve Lowe. Honorary Pallbearers: Jeremy Young, Robbie Shirley, Ricky Shirley.
