Dorothy Raye Burns

Dorothy Raye Burns, 79 of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas passed away Friday, April 27, 2018 at her home. She was born in Louisiana Missouri on February 6, 1939 to Charles Russell and Dorothy Alden Zorn. She was a Christian who believed in God and Jesus Christ. She was united in marriage to Willis "Tiger" Burns for twenty years, and her lifelong companion Ernie Latham for forty years. She cleaned houses, worked in the Food Service and at Gemini factory. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, fishing (in her younger days) and watching her birds in her yard. Survivors include: three daughters: Daya Bunn(Scott) of Walnut Ridge, Robin Thompson(Glenn) of Blytheville, Ar., and Margo Jones(Herschel) of Hoxie, Ar. Two sons: Russell Burns of Hattiesburg, MS and Lacy Burns of Walnut Ridge, Ar. Nine grandchildren: Timothy Lamb, Mitchell Lamb, Kristin Simpson, Brittany Sluder, Hannah Thompson, Tucker Thompson, Meghann Raye Burns, Ashley Varela and Jerrell Burns. Eight great grandchildren. One sister: Joan Ware of Rancho Cucamonga, CA In addition to her parents preceded in death by one brother Robert 'Bob" Zorn. Memorial services pending.
