James Thomas Smith

James Thomas Smith, 79, of Ash Flat, Arkansas passed away on July 1, 2017 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House. He was born on January 3, 1938 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Tom Smith. He was of the Catholic faith and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and woodworking. Survivors include; his wife: Brenda Smith of the home; one son: Andy Smith (Roxanne) of Collierville, Tennessee; one daughter: Sheila Thomas of Collierville, Tennessee; two step-daughters: Tricia Holden (Rich) of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Cristy Sellers (Todd) of Bryant, Arkansas; two brothers: Rodney Smith of Atlanta, Georgia and Fred Smith of Birmingham, Alabama; two sisters: Martha Jane Lazarini of Springs Port, Alabama and Renee Bosce of Katy, Texas; seven grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of other family and friends.The family request private services under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorials to St. Jude’s in Memphis, Tennessee.
