Akeem Decaria Nelson

Akeem Decaria Nelson 19, of Kennett, Missouri passed away on July 14, 2017 in Kennett. Born July 19, 1997 to Adam Nelson and Tanisha Taylor in Kennett, Missouri. Akeem loved his past time of playing basketball, football, and baseball for the Kennett Indians. He enjoyed watching movies and having his favorite food made by his momma which was pork chops and macaroni and cheese. Spending time with his family and friends but, most of all he loved his girlfriend Tanka and their son Ayden. He will be missed by many. Akeem is preceded in death by his grandfather Charles Jones, two grandmother Lucy Woods, and Annestine Jones, and a best friend Lil’ Will.He is survived by: his parents Adam Nelson and Tanisha Taylor of Kennett; two brothers: Divante Taylor and Andre Esters both of Kennett; one sister: Alexus Nelson and Tyler Kennedy of Poplar Bluff; girlfriend: Kenyatta (Tanka) Hudson and son: Ayden Nelson of Kennett; two nieces: Annalyse and Addalynn Kennedy of Poplar Bluff; grandparents: Mildred Love, Kelvin and Maeola Gilmer, Nellie Taylor, Wanda Flowers, John Anna Nelson, and Bruce Robinson all of Kennett; God parents: Chris and Brenda Crawford of Kennett, God siblings: Megan Jackson, and Chris Crawford, II. of Kennett; mother-in-love: Joyce Anthony of Kennett; one sister-in-law: Kadijah Anthony of Kennett; two brother-in-laws: Quinton Davis of Cape Girardeau; and Quantaz Davis of Kennett; special cousins: Mercedes Jones of Memphis, Tennessee, Corderro Taylor, Patrick Wallace, Rantrell Caruthers, Randrick Caruthers, Jerrod Shavers, Roderick Wheeler(AKA Moo Moo), Quan Johnson, Aaron Taylor and Tyreik Taylor of Kennett; Akeem considered Edward Wilson, Rantrell Caruthers, and Jahida Childress all of Kennett as his best friends and were just like his brother. Akeem also leaves behind a host of other friends and family. A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in Kennett, Missouri on July 29, 2017 at 3:00pm.with Assistant Pastor Darion Jones officiating. Faith Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
