Villa Mae Swindle

Mrs. Villa Mae Swindle, age 88 of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away on July 4, 2015 at the NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. Born May 6, 1927 in Caraway, Arkansas, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Pearl Jones Lucas and was a lifelong member of the Prospect Baptist Church in Jonesboro. Mrs. Swindle enjoyed sewing and loved her cats and dogs. She is survived by one son: Donnie Swindle of Jonesboro, Arkansas; six sisters: Geraldine Isham of Greenbriar, Arkansas, Edna Simpson of Vilonia, Arkansas, Dona Holcomb, Glenna Northern, Lela Dillahay and Ernestine Young all of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Mrs. Swindle also leaves four grandsons, nine great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Everett Swindle, one son: Ronnie Swindle and one brother: Monte Lucas.Graveside services will be 2:00pm Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Jonesboro with Bro. Harold Russell officiating. Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas is in charge of arrangements.
