James Oden

Mr. James Frederick Oden, age 60 of Paragould, Arkansas, passed away July 4, 2015 at the Arkansas Methodist Medical Center. Born June 9, 1955 in Paragould, Arkansas, he was the son of the late William Thomas and Oaney Bell Merritt Oden and was a longtime area resident. Mr. Oden was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed playing his guitar, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by two sisters: Bertie Theodoropoulos of Paragould, Arkansas and Laura Gibbs of Yellville, Arkansas; two brothers Ed Oden and Larry Oden both of Paragould, Arkansas. Mr. Oden also leaves a host of other family and friends.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers: Bobby Oden, Buck Oden and Dewey Wayne Oden; two sisters: Lorene Oden and Mary Ellen Oden.Memorial services will be Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at the Faith Funeral Service Chapel in Manila, Arkansas. The family has requested a private disposition.
