John Finis Berry

Mr. John Finis Berry, 85, of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away on Monday, April 14, 2014 at Craighead Nursing Center. Mr. Berry was born on July 31, 1928 in Rector, Arkansas to the late John and Mary Mable Church Berry. Mr. Berry was a member of the Grace Missionary Baptist Church, enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Survivors include; two sons: John H. Berry and wife Jeanne of Huntsville, Alabama and Timothy N. Berry and wife Patty of Paragould, Arkansas; two daughters: Mary Katherine Martinez and husband Joe of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Charlotte Perry of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one sister: Frances Beckley and husband Glendal of Rector, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. Mr. Berry was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Vadalia Louise Berry; two brothers; Charlie Berry and Ebert Berry; three sisters: Lucy Ray, Laura Eaton, and Robilee Whitlock. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 18, 2014 at 11:00 am at Grace Missionary Baptist Church, Aggie Road, Jonesboro, Arkansas with Dr. Adrian Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Heights Cemetery, Rector, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at the church from 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Pallbearers: David Fowlkes, Jeff Moody, Bryan Taylor, Paul Wallace, Lance Ritter, and Phil Brown.
