Gamble, Hazel Marie

Mrs. Hazel Marie Gamble, age 79 of Manila, Arkansas, died Saturday, July 28, 2012 at the Manila Nursing Center. Born September 29, 1932 in Manila, she was the daughter of the late James and Blanch Vernor Whitehead and been a longtime area resident. Mrs. Gamble attended the Hornersville school system and attended the Manila Assembly of God. She enjoyed serving the Lord and gardening. She is survived by two brothers: Windell Wilkey of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Charles “Nick” Wilkey of Bradford; six sisters: Earline Hicks of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Mary Kis of Blytheville, Arkansas, Bertha McCormick of Manila, Arkansas, Glenda Johnson of Paragould, Arkansas, Barbara Warren of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Linda Brewer of Jonesboro, Arkansas. Mrs. Gambles also leaves a host of other family and friends. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gamble was preceded in death by her husband Delmar Gamble; her son: Ray Gamble; four brothers: Junior Whitehead, Marvin Whitehead, Leonard Whitehead and Glen Wilkey; three sisters: Nellie Stone, Pauline Woods and Jerline McDowell. Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, August 1, 2012 at Faith Funeral Service in Manila with Rev. Linda Brewer officiating. Burial will follow in the Kellers Chapel Cemetery at 3:30pm with Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas in charge of arrangements. The family will receive visitors Wednesday, August 1, 2012 from 10:00am until the time of service.
