Van Brown

Van Oliver Brown, age 73 of Hornersville, Missouri, passed away on April 17, 2017 at the Flo and Phil Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born December 5, 1943 in Hornersville, he was the son of the late William Henry Harrison Brown and Virginia Williams Brown. Mr. Brown was a member of the Hornersville Baptist Church and was known around the area as “BoBo” and “The Can Man”. Mr. Brown received a plaque for picking up cans. He is survived by four brothers: Willie Bryan Brown and wife Patsy of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Ronnie Brown and wife Betty of Hornersville, Missouri, Gary Brown and wife Alice of Hornersville, Missouri and Eual Brown of Hornersville, Missouri; one sister: Norma Jean Lancaster of Trumann, Arkansas. Mr. Brown also leaves a host of other family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister: Flora Mae Vaughn; three brothers: William Brown, Jr., Danny Lee Brown and Larry Virgil Brown. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Friday April 21, 2017 at the Hornersville Baptist Church with Bro. John Dillinger officiating. Burial will follow in the Nettleton Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors Friday, April 21, 2017 from 10:00am until time of service at the church. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

    This is my Uncle! He was a very independent, he done what he wanted to do and no-one was going to change his mind .. He never said a bad word to anyone ; he always had a smile on his face. When Aunt Norma and I would come to visit him you could always see him sitting out side on the porch! Hornersville you will never be the same.. Many of you will always be on the look out for BoBo.. You all will have to carry out the duty of keeping Hornersville clean in precious memories of my Uncle Van Oliver Brown ! HORNESVILLE CARRY ON UNCLE VAN has gone Home ..
