Susan Dinah Shields

Mrs. Susan Dinah Shields, age 63 of Hoxie, Arkansas, passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2017 at her home. Born October 26, 1953 in Antioch, California, she was the daughter of the late Ted and Elizabeth Zimmeran Simmons. Mrs. Shields was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church in Hoxie and enjoyed decorating. She is survived by her husband: Ted Shields of the home; two sons: Teddy Douglas Shields and wife Tracy of Batesville, Arkansas and Israel D. Shields and wife Erika of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; three sisters: Patricia Spurlock and husband Sam of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Sherry Harris and husband Joey of Alicia, Arkansas and Debbie Monroe and husband Kenneth of North Carolina; seven grandchildren: London, Madison, Zachary, Zoey, Charlie, Kyler, and Lauren. Mrs. Shields also leaves a host of other family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters: Paulette Simmons, Maggie Simmons and Hester Simmons. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at 2:00pm at the Faith Tabernacle Church on 810 Northeast Front Street in Hoxie, Arkansas with Bro. Rick Ethridge officiating. Burial will follow in the Markham Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors Wednesday, January 25, 2017 from 12:00 until service time at the church. Pallbearers will be Teddy Shields, Israel Shields, London Shields, Zachary Shields, John Duckworth and Paul Moore. Honorary pallbearer will be Jason Blackwell.
