Cathy Nixon

Mrs. Cathy Davis Nixon, age 58 of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 at the NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. Born November 26, 1955 in Jonesboro, Arkansas she was the daughter of Harold and Paula Tucker Davis. Mrs. Nixon was a devout Christian who walked with the Lord for over 50 years. She was a licensed massage therapist and owned the Healing Touch Massage Center in Jonesboro and she enjoyed counseling with people and talking on the phone. She is survived by her husband: Dennis L. Nixon, Sr. of the home: her mother: Paula Davis of Trumann, Arkansas; three sons: Paul P. Davis of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Lee Nixon and wife Laverne of Memphis, Tennessee, and Robert Nixon of Selmer, Tennessee; one daughter: Rebecca Harston and husband Chris of Memphis, Tennessee; two brothers: Larry T. Davis and wife Judi of Collierville, Tennessee and Harold D. Davis, II and wife Tina of Baron, Mississippi. Mrs. Nixon also leaves ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Mrs. Nixon was preceded in death by her father Harold D. Davis and a brother Robert Thurlo Davis. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 17, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Morton Museum (The White Church), 196 North Main Street Collierville, Tennessee 38017. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

    Robert Nixon: I am so very very sorry for the loss of Cathy. I can only hope the last years of her life were filled with the joy of a loving family and those wonderful grandchildren I am sure she loved with all her heart. My sincere sympathy to all the family.
