Johnny Paul Carr

Mr. Johnny Paul Carr, 53, of Rector, Arkansas, died on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Mr. Carr was born on November 21, 1960 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Alvin and Ellen Holder Carr. Mr. Carr was a member of the Pocahontas United Pentecostal Church, an auto mechanic, loved his grandchildren very much, and enjoyed fishing, racing, football and wrestling. Survivors include; his mother Ellen Gentry and Step-dad: Rex Gentry both of Walnut Ridge, Arkansas; one daughter: Sarah Stringer of Rector, Arkansas; two brothers: Robert Carr of Bono, Arkansas and Tim Carr of Jonesboro, Arkansas; four sisters: Loretta DeWitt of Windfall, Indiana, Emma Nash of DeQuincy Louisiana, Lesa Case of Lincoln, Arkansas, and Ruby Ducote of DeQuincy, Louisiana; three step-sisters: Betty Gail Porter of Paragould, Arkansas, Sandy Price of Imboden, Arkansas, and Suzie Adams of Paragould, Arkansas; three grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Mr. Carr was preceded in death by his father: Alvin Carr and one sister: Debbie Adair. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 1:00 pm at the Pocahontas United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Jerry Cochran and Rev. Bill Gray officiating. Interment will follow at the Arnold Cemetery, Swift on, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors at the church on Tuesday at 11:00 am.
