David Lee Estes
October 16, 1958 - February 17, 2019

David Lee Estes passed away unexpectedly on February 17, 2019, at his place of residence in Kennett, Missouri, at the age of 60. He was the husband of Tonya Morris Estes. They shared 23 years of marriage together. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, on October 16, 1958. He was the son of the late Mildred Hopper Estes and Huston Lee Estes. He was employed at the Kennett School District and worked as a bus driver part-time after his retirement. David was a member of the NRA. He enjoyed hunting, cooking, playing with his dogs Gordon and Gohan. He also loved playing with his grandchildren Georgia Claire Roberts, 1 month, and Caden Levi Keating, 2. He will be remembered for his laugh, his love for his wife, and his ability to take care of everyone as if they were his own kids. His children will remember him as a passionate and warm-hearted father who encouraged them to pursue their goals. David is survived by his wife Tonya Morris Estes, his children and their spouses Anna Marie Estes, 21, Chance Keating; Erika Michelle Estes, 19, Cody Roberts; and Tyler Lee Estes, 24. His siblings Ray Estes of Kennett, Missouri, Sheila Estes-Harris of Kentucky, and Johnny Estes of Stillwater, Oklahoma. He is preceded in death by his parents Huston Lee Estes and Mildred Hopper Estes, his brother Eddie Estes and his dogs that he loved so dearly. A memorial will be scheduled when things settle down and finances are in order. All are welcome to attend and celebrate David’s life.
