Lucas Bryant Owens

Lucas Bryant Owens, 22, of Trumann, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at St. Bernard’s Hospital. He was born on October 18, 1993 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Jerry and Mary Veteto Owens. He was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy, Trumann, Arkansas, liked Special Olympics, was a football fantasy, but most of all he loved the Lord and Gospel Music.Survivors include; his parents: Jerry and Mary Owens of Trumann, Arkansas; grandparents: James & Nancy Owens and Bobby and Laura Veteto all of Trumann, Arkansas; many uncles and aunts; and a host of other family and friends.Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Church of God of Prophecy, Trumann, Arkansas with Rev. David Owens and Rev. Larry Tribble officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Log Cemetery, Brookland, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the church from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm. Pallbearers: John Owens, Josh Owens, Shannon Tribble, Ricky Wilbanks, Trey Austin, and Daniel Owens. Honorary Pallbearers: Johnny Ray, Timothy Bigger, and Ray Guthrie.

    I'm very sorry for your loss Lucas was my classmate in high school and at focus he was the nicest person you could met always had a smile on his face I'm going to miss him a whole lot just his presence at focus filled the room up he was a joyful person he's forever in my heart gone but never forgotten

    I was a sub at Trumann schools, this is how I got to know Lucus. He was an outstanding young man. So sorry to hear of his passing, God bless his family.

    I remember helping him get in the swing all the time at recess when we were young. Even back then he always said thank you with a smile on his face. Most polite and generous guy I think I've ever met. My thoughts are with the family.

    A wonderful part of our church family!! Never saw Lucas without a smile.I will never walk into church again without thinking about Lucas..so precious and in love with Jesus..Heaven just became an even more beautiful place..Love you all

    Lucas was a good young man he always may u laugh he wanted a Christian wife he always talk about Me.Baker driving the bus to fast or almost hitting a ditch but most of he love the Lord and he had a lot of faith that people would be heal
