Billy Gene Vinson, 74, of Lake City, Arkansas passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, February 24, 2017 at St. Bernards Medical Center, Jonesboro, Arkansas. He was born on November 25, 1942 in St. Genevieve, Missouri to George and Virginia Cox Vinson. He had resided at Lakeside Nursing home, Lake City, Arkansas.Survivors include: one sister-in-law: Mary Alice Hendrix Vinson of Jonesboro, Arkansas; three nephews: Todd Vinson (Dana) of Keiser, Arkansas, Tracy Vinson (Lori) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Tony Vinson (Holly) Vinson of Summerfield, Louisiana; three nieces: Maria Pierson (Mark), Martha Stocklin, and Melissa George (Tommy) all of Jonesboro, Arkansas; and a host of other family and friends.Mr. Vinson was preceded in death by; his wife: Leann Meyers Vinson; his mother: Virginia Cox Vinson; his father: George Vinson; and one brother: Rev. Jimmy Vinson.Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at 2:00 pm Crestlawn Cemetery in St. Genevieve, Missouri with Bro. Todd Vinson officiating.
