Howard Ernest Bearce

Howard Ernest Bearce, 71, of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away on April 4, 2016 at St. Bernard’s Medical Center. He was born in Egypt, Arkansas on September 6, 1944 to the late Orval Ernest and Sara Jane Simpson Bearce. He was a member of Herman Baptist Church and attended Commonwealth Ministries, enjoyed playing dominoes, going to yard sales, and watching NASCAR and wrestling.Survivors include; one stepson: Jamie Suarez (Amanda) of Knoxville, Tennessee; one stepdaughter: Melissa Munday (Joshua) of Knoxville, Tennessee; one brother: Carl Bearce (Sharon) of Shirley, Arkansas; one sister: Kate Bearce of Jonesboro, Arkansas; four grandchildren: Christian and Zachary Munday and Aylee and Paisley Suarez; four nieces: Judy Perry (Michael) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Cheryl Files of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Joycelyn Hurt of Cordell, Georgia, and Robin Ezell of Washington; six nephews: David Bearce of Longview, Washington, Ricky Jackson of Paragould, Arkansas, Allen Jackson of Marmaduke, Arkansas, Andy Bearce, Randy Bearce of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Rex Poole of Texas; and a host of other family and friends.He was preceded in death by; his parents; companion: Edna House; one brother: Homer Bearce; two sisters: Joycelyn Bearce and Margaret “Sue” Jackson.Graveside services will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 10:00 am at Nettleton Cemetery, Jonesboro, Arkansas with Bro. Cleat Risner officiating under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.

    Howard served 20 years in the Arkansas Army National Guard. Was also preceded in death by companion of more than 20 years, Betty R. Schales. He loved hunting, building things, and attending auctions. He worked and retired from Riceland Foods in Jonesboro, AR before moving to Evening Shade, AR with companion Betty R. Schales. He was a good man to all who knew and loved him.
