Donald Shopher

Mr. Donald Myron Shopher, age 79 of Brookland, Arkansas, passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at the St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro, Arkansas. Born October 3, 1934 in Harrisburg, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Myron Christopher and Euna Pauline Seats Shopher and was a longtime area resident. Mr. Shopher was an independent Christian and obtained a degree in zoology. He loved animals and was a taxidermist for 55 years. He is survived by two sons: Donald Myron Shopher, Jr. of Jonesboro, Arkansas and Mark David Shopher of McGee, Arkansas; two daughters: Najaii Ann Shopher of Springfield, Missouri and Tonya Lee Brammer of Corinth, Missouri. Mr. Shopher also leaves four grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Graveside funeral services will be Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at 1:00pm at the Pine Log Cemetery in Brookland, Arkansas with Rev. Terry Gage officiating. Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas is in charge of arrangements.
