Ola James

Mrs. Ola Mae James, age77 of Ravenden, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at the Woodlawn Heights Nursing Home in Batesville, Arkansas. Mrs. James was born January 30, 1937 in Hoxie, Arkansas to the late Grant & Mirl Easter Doyle Howell. Mrs. James was a member of the Church of Christ, lived on the family farm, and enjoyed sewing and writing poetry. She is survived by one son: Scott James and wife Terry of Ravenden Springs, Arkansas; three daughters: Teresa Elkins and husband Jerry of Batesville, Arkansas, Donna Golden and husband Greg of Pine Bluff, Arkansas and Monica James and husband Randall Puckett of Portia, Arkansas; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Dewell James; one grandson: Jarrod Hobbs; and one sister: Darlene Golden. Graveside services will be Friday, February 28, 2014 at 2:00pm at the Taylor Cemetery with Bro. Richard Robinson officiating. The family will receive visitors Thursday, February 27, 2014 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at the Freewill Baptist Church, Thayer, Missouri under the direction of Faith Funeral Service of Manila, Arkansas.
