Bernard Linden Trayler

Bernard Linden Trayler A much loved husband, father, grandfather, son, and brother, Bernard Linden Trayler, 75 of Paragould, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at the Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House on December 11, 2018 with his family present. He was born May 2, 1943 in Lansing, Michigan, and resided in Paragould, Arkansas, for the past 58 years. He graduated from Greene County Tech in 1961. Bernard married Kathryn Marie Smith November 22, 1961, and immediately started their family with their firstborn, Anthony, in 1963. In 1965, Bernard began working for Ma Bell, later known as Southwestern bell in 1965, and worked there for 33 ½ years, finally retiring in May 10, 1999. Bernard was heavily involved in his faith as a Pentecostal and was a member of Christian Life Center. Throughout the years he served as a Youth Leader, song leader, taught Bible Studies, and Sunday School Superintendent for many years. Surviving Bernard Trayler is his wife Kathryn Trayler of the home; son Anthony (Cheryl) Trayler of Leitchfield, KY; son Scott (Sherry) Trayler of Paragould, AR; son Joey Trayler of Paragould, AR; five grandchildren Audrey (Simeon) Brown; Aimee (Zach) Potter; Alina Smith Trayler; grandsons Dallas Trayler; Tyler Trayler; four great grandchildren Ashley Potter; Reese Potter; Melody Smith; Ruby Smith; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Preceded in death by his parents William and Frances Trayler; one brother Gerald Trayler; one sister Shirlene Bryson. Funeral services will be Saturday, December 15, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at The Christian Life Center, Brookland, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service, Manila, Arkansas. Burial will be in New Liberty Cemetery, Marmaduke, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors Friday, December 14, 2018 6:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
