Janice Barrett Moxley

Janice Barrett Moxley was born December 9, 1937 to Chesley and Frankie Miller Barrett in Noblesville, Indiana. She entered the gates of heaven on December 26, 2018 at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House surrounded by her girls. She married the love of her life Bobby Moxley. Together the Lord blessed them with four daughters: Derinda Gillet (Gary), Melinda Gipson (Danny), Lisa Hinkle (Brad) and Jeana Collier. She referred to them as “My Girls”. She always smiled and said they were her greatest accomplishment in life, until grandchildren: Heather, Leslie, Seth, Jennifer, Stephanie, Gary Don, Tony, Sarah, and Mary came along. She loved her family and was the perfect Nana. She was also blessed with seventeen great-grandchildren who also cherished her. Her home was always opened to family and friends even when her health began to decline, and dementia began to steal her mind. She always voiced the importance of showing kindness to everyone and she lived that out until the very end. Her profession of faith in Jesus Christ comforted her family during the last few months of her life. She was preceded in death by; her husband: Bobby Moxley; two brothers: Sony Barrett and Larry Barrett; and one sister: Sandy Bourland. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Rowe’s Chapel with Bro. Glen Hoselton and Bro. Rick Stevens officiating. Burial will follow at Jonesboro Memorial Park under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors at the church on Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Pallbearers: Seth Gipson, Tony Collier, Seth Payne, Shawn Lancaster, Brent Richardson, Gary Don Staggs, William Maulding, Mark Brown and Lonnie Martin. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
