Danny Joe Guthrie, 74, of Bay, Arkansas passed away at St. Bernards Medical Center on December 14, 2023. He was born on January 29, 1949 in Hoxie, Arkansas to Floyd Guthrie and Alma Jean Guthrie. Danny married the love of his life Elaine on April 5, 1966; they had been married for 47 years. He worked for the City of Bay for 9 years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and spending time with his family. Survivors include; four sons: Danny Joe Guthrie, II. (Belinda) of Brookland, Arkansas, Tommy Ray Guthrie (Anna) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Timmy Lee Guthrie of Bay, Arkansas, Jimmy Wayne Guthrie (Kimberly) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; thirteen grandchildren: Heather O’Brien, Hailey Morgan, Nathanael Guthrie, Devin Guthrie, Whitnee Guthrie, Brittanie Woods, Jacob Guthrie, Brianna Sailor, Alex Guthrie, Jayden Guthrie, Amber May, Courtney Wilson, and Brooklyn Guthrie; thirteen great grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by; his parents: Floyd and Alma Jean Guthrie; loving wife: Elaine Guthrie; and one brother: Terry Wayne Guthrie. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. at the Renewed Full Gospel Church in Bono, Arkansas with Bro. Marty Russell officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church from 12:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Kellers Chapel Cemetery in Jonesboro, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. Pallbearers: Jordan Morgan, Nathanael Guthrie, Garrett O’Brien, Michael Rainey, Jake Guthrie, and Austin Sailor. Honorary Pallbearers: Devin Guthrie, Alex Guthrie, Jayden Guthrie, and Hunter Woods.
