Richard Lee Clayton “Big Red”, 44, of Trumann, Arkansas passed away on June 26, 2023 at his home. He was born on November 25, 1978 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Ricky Murrell Clayton and Patty Kay Whitlatch Timbs. He played football and baseball when he was in school. Richard had the same friends from his childhood through adulthood, and loved to sit around with them and reminisce about when they were younger. He enjoyed watching the Razorbacks, watching the NFL Raiders, and just watching football in general. He also enjoyed listening to old country music. Survivors include; one son: Noah Lee Clayton of Trumann, Arkansas; and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by; his parents: Ricky Murrell Clayton and Patty Kay Whitlatch Timbs Lancaster; grandparents: Richard and Jeanetta Clayton and Harvey and Juanita Witchlatch and Jim B. Timbs; one brother: Gary Wayne Clayton; many aunts; uncles; and cousins. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Salvation Ministries (5071 AR-226 Spur - Jonesboro, Arkansas)

    I always enjoyed seeing and talking to you Red. I remember our first jobs together was at Payless grocery in Trumann. We had some good times there. Will miss our laughs and cutting up…Rest easy my friend…
