Erma Marjorie Berry
December 22, 1941 - June 12, 2023

Erma Marjorie Berry, 81, of Caraway, gained her Angel wings at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro on June 12, 2023 after a long battle with Multiple Myeloma. It would be wrong to say that Margie lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined to keep going. When anyone else would have broken, Margie stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Margie. Just because she is no longer here, it doesn’t mean she lost her fight. Margie was an avid gardener, both of flowers and vegetables. Her thumb was pure green. She could put a stick in the ground and something beautiful would grow from it. Throughout her life she shared the bounty from both gardens with family and friends, even strangers if they stopped. Giving and doing for others was one of her joys in life. Her other joy in life was her family. There was nothing she wouldn't do for her children and grandchildren. She was like the energizer bunny when it came to attending family functions and all the sporting events of her 3 children and grandchildren. She loved without expecting love in return, but she was loved by family and friends beyond measure. She gave without expecting anything in return. Margie didn’t know how to take but she knew the meaning of giving with her whole heart. She is survived by; a son: John Berry of Caraway; a daughter: Sandra Berry of Lake City; a daughter of the heart: Jewel Rhodes of Lake City; a daughter- in- law: Dottie Berry; a grandson: Josh Berry; a great grandson: Chris Berry (Jade); a great granddaughter: Racheal Berry; and a host of other family and friends. She was preceded in death by; her parents: William and Betty Waters; her brother: Billy Lee Waters; her sister: Linda Joyce Shasteen; her husband: Junior Berry; a son: Randy Berry; and 2 grandsons: David Berry and Randy Berry, Jr. Those honored carry to carry Margie to her final resting place here on earth are: Josh Berry, Chris Berry, Roger Williams, Mark Shasteen, Chad Sneed, and Tim Reams. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 16, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Caraway, Arkansas with Rev. Heath Hawkins officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at the Caraway Cemetery in Caraway, Arkansas under the direction of Faith Funeral Service.
