Violet Gertrude Koons, 78, of Lake City, Arkansas passed away at St. Bernards Medical Center on March 4, 2023. She was born on April 25, 1944 in Timbo, Arkansas to Clifford Schultz and Vern Gammill Schultz. Violet was a member of the Refuge Baptist Church in Lake City, Arkansas. She enjoyed cooking, reading, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include; one son: Ronnie Koons (Hanna) of Jonesboro, Arkansas; one sister: Marie Schultz of Mt. View, Arkansas; six grandchildren: Kaesha Koons (Shane), Alison Koons, Carson Koons, Evan Koons, Summer Peck (Chase), Drake Mullen; and a host of other family and friends. She is preceded in death by; loving husband: J.C. Koons; father: Clifford Schultz; mother: Vern Treat; two sons: Tony Koons and Ty Koons; one brother: Paul Schultz; and three sisters: Rita Schultz, Virginia McClanahan, Brenda Gilbert. Graveside services will be held on March 12, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Pine Log Cemetery on Brookland, Arkansas.
