Billy Ray Pilgrim
August 7, 1946 - March 2, 2023

Billy Ray Pilgrim, 76, of Marked Tree, Arkansas passed away at St. Bernards Medical Center on March 2, 2023. He was born on August 7, 1946 in Caraway, Arkansas to William Pilgrim and Judy Ashley Pilgrim. Billy was a member of Central Baptist Church in Marked Tree, Arkansas. He was a long-time farmer in Mississippi County and was employed with Poinsett County Road Department at the time of his death. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Dyess, Arkansas for many years. He enjoyed playing dominoes and attending the lodge meetings. Survivors include; one son: Shannon Pilgrim (Lisa) of Huntington Beach, California; three daughters: Pam Elrod of West Memphis, Arkansas, Melissa Sims (John) of Wilson, Arkansas, Megan Pounds of Rienzi, Mississippi; six grandchildren: Haley Malone, Hunter Pilgrim, Hunter Malone, Kylie Baker, Kaden Baker, Hadleigh Pounds; three great grandchildren; two brothers: Ronnie Pilgrim of Ottawa, Kansas and Ricky Pilgrim of Keiser, Arkansas; and a host of other family and friends. He is preceded in death by; his father: William Pilgrim; his mother: Judy Latham; one sister: Ann Pilgrim; one uncle: K.D. Main; and one aunt: Pat Main. Pallbearers: Tommy Dunlap, Ronald Blagg, Ed Bell, J.P. Morgan, Henry Blackman, and Wesley Byers. Graveside services will be held on Monday, March 6, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Rivercrest Gardens in Marie, Arkansas with Pastor John Smith officiating under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Animal Shelter in Marked Tree, Arkansas (Rhonda Walker, 118 Nathan Street, Marked Tree, Arkansas 72365) or the Central Baptist Church in Marked Tree, Arkansas (P.O. Box 151, Marked Tree, Arkansas 72365.)
