Jesse Franklin Summitt

Mr. Jesse Franklin Summitt of Paragould went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at his home at the age of 79. He was born November 4, 1935 in Cardwell, Missouri to Paul and Gladys Summitt, both of whom preceded him in death. He was an Army Veteran and retired carpenter/home builder.Waiting to join him is his wife of 53 years: Jesslyn Gail Summitt; three children: Dottie Summitt and Doyle Summitt (Lori) of Paragould, and Dianna Edrington (Chris) of Tallahassee, FL.; six grandchildren: Christina Lynn, Lori Alger, Shannon, Brenden, and Caelyn Edrington and Karissa Summitt three great grandchildren: Aidrean Pullam, Jaxton & Draven Melton; two sisters: Mary Jo Fry of Poplar Bluff, MO and Jeane Peel (Bob) of Cardwell, MO; one brother: Robert Summitt (Loetta) of Canton, Tx; and numerous nieces and nephewsIn Lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Unity Baptist Church Building Fund, 303 W. Unity Rd, Paragould, where he was a Deacon and one of the Song Leaders.Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the Unity Baptist Church at 2:00 pm with Bro. Terry Songer and Paster Chad Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Greene County Memorial Gardens under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors on Saturday, April 11, 2015 at the church from 12 – 2 PM.
