Johnny Nations

Mr. Johnny Lewis Nations, 75, of Marmaduke died on Tuesday, December 24, 2013 at St. Bernards Medical Center. Mr. Nations was born on June 8, 1938 in Steele, Missouri to the late Johnny Virgil and Leron Odessa Farmer Nations. Mr. Nations was a Christian, served as Sheriff in Greene County from 1979 – 1982, Deputy Sheriff in Greene County, Chief of Police in Marmaduke, K9 unit in Greene County, and an avid Razorback basketball fan. Survivors include: one son: Keith Allen Nations of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; three daughters: Pamela Denise Nations of Marmaduke, Arkansas, Angela McDaniel of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Gayla Rippy of Paragould, Arkansas; six grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Mr. Nations was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Jeff Allen Nations. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 1:00 pm at the First Baptist Church, Marmaduke, Arkansas with Rev. Kim Bridges and Rev. David Floyd officiating. Interment will follow at Hartsoe Cemetery under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. The family will receive visitors on Saturday at the church from 11:00 am until service time.
