Rickey Lynn Holt
July 9, 1953 - April 6, 2021

Rickey Lynn Holt, 67 of Lake City, Arkansas left this world and entered his heavenly home on April 6, 2021 at NEA Baptist Hospital. He was born on July 9, 1953 in Jonesboro, Arkansas to Leonard and Jeanette McMasters Holt. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp during the Vietnam war in the motor transportation division. He was a member of Elm Grove Baptist Church in the Lunsford community, and worshipped at the Broadway Missionary Baptist Church in Bay, Arkansas. Rickey was a man of many talents, but his greatest was making people laugh. He was a storyteller, and aggravator and that is one of the many things that his family will miss most, other than the big grin he always had on his face. While he was an ornery man, he loved his family and friends fiercely. He had a soft heart and would help any and all that he could. He loved his animals; they were a great comfort to him after he won the battles against cancer. All of his family was important to him, but he felt that his son was the greatest achievement in his life. His love for his grandchildren was unmatchable and he had a special relationship with his “Grumpy” and “Skeezer”. He also had a special love for his great nephews River and Rykar. He had two great loves in his life, his wife and Nascar. He loved being outside mowing and making sure the yard was always in perfect order and volunteered to mow for people. Survivors include; his wife: Edna Thomas Holt of the home; one son: Rickey Holt, Jr. (Lisa) of Brookland, Arkansas; five daughters: Stacey Shannon of Little Rock, Arkansas, Tracey Digilormo (Carl) of Keithville, Louisiana, Priscilla Stevens (Brandon) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, Mistey Franklin (Edwin) of Jonesboro, Arkansas, and Jerrie Beth Steele (Jonathan) of Brookland, Arkansas; two brothers: Jerry Holt (Robin) of Lake City, Arkansas and Ronnie Holt (Lorre) of Trumann, Arkansas; one sister: Jackie Holt of Brick, New Jersey; a special nephew: Matt Holt (Amber) o f Lake City, Arkansas; a favorite uncle: Donald Holt; sixteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by; his parents: Leonard and Jeanette Holt; one brother: David Holt; and one grandchild. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 12, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at the Broadway Missionary Baptist Church in Bay, Arkansas with Bro. Rick Jensen and Bro. Joel McMasters officiating.
