Evelyn Creekmore Bradsher Hodge

Evelyn Creekmore Bradsher Hodge, 90, passed away Thursday, January 7, 2021, at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was born October 1, 1930, in Wynne, Arkansas, to Shadrack and Venoliur Creekmore. She was a member of Wynne First Assembly of God Church. Active in her church for many years, she had a gift for hospitality and all were welcome in her home. She enjoyed traveling, loved her family, and poured her life into her children and grandchildren. Her recent delight was in her great grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters: Beverly Smart (Rev. Dr. Jack) of Ozark, Missouri, Sherri Sturm (Zane) of Wynne, Arkansas, and one stepdaughter: Sandra Benefield (Johnny) of Wynne, Arkansas; two brothers: Daniel Creekmore of Calhoun, Louisiana, and Harold Creekmore of Cave City, Arkansas; three sisters: Ruby Deering of Mesquite, Nevada, Etta Little of Wynne, Arkansas, and Miriam Drum (Billy) of West Monroe, Louisiana; seven grandchildren: Joshua Smart, Jonathan Smart (Jessica), Joel Smart (Summer), Libbi Heintz (Jacob), Zane Sturm, II (Priscilla), Kevin Hodge, Keith Hodge (Sasha); ten great grandchildren: Riley and Eleanor Smart, Henry Smart, Halle Rae Sturm, Betty, Owen, Harmon, and Aubrey Hodge, and Avery and Kason Hodge; and a host of other family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her first husband, Amon Bradsher (35 years); her second husband Benny Hodge (25 years); stepson Ronnie Hodge; five brothers: Shadrack Creekmore, Jr., Virgil Creekmore, Winfred Creekmore, JW Creekmore, Jerry Creekmore; one sister: Pauline Swink. The funeral service will be Monday, January 11, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Wynne First Assembly of God, 1900 N Killough Road, Wynne, Arkansas, 72396 with Rev. Zane Sturm, II, officiating under the direction of Faith Funeral Service, Manila, Arkansas. Burial will be in Cogbill Cemetery, Wynne, Arkansas. The family will receive visitors at the church from 12:30 p.m. until service time. Due to Covid 19 guidelines, a mask or other facial covering is required, a Covid 19 acknowledgment form is required to be signed, and social distancing will be observed.
