William Ardell Sheets, Sr.
July 19, 1928 - November 3, 2020

William Ardell Sheets, Sr., 92 of Jonesboro, Arkansas passed away on November 3, 2020 at Ridge Crest Nursing Home. He was born on July 19, 1928 in Trumann, Arkansas to George Lenard and Ola Spain Sheets. He knew the Lord and was ready to be called home. He was a United States Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict and received a Bronze Star for Valor. He enjoyed hunting, sports, gardening, doing mechanic work on tractors, and was an avid reader. Survivors include; three sons: William A. Sheets, Jr. (Lynne), Louis Sheets (Susie), and Matt Sheets (Dana); one grandson: Jacob Sheets (Lindsey); one half-brother: Don Sheets; one daughter-in-law: Kim Sheets; two granddaughters: Erica and Emily Sheets; and a host of other family and friends. He was preceded in death by; his parents: George and Ola Sheets; his wife Everette Sheets; one son: Daniel T. Sheets; one grandson: Steven Sheets four brothers: Lilburn, Ray, Joe and John Sheets; three sisters: Faye Johnson, Pearl Blansett, and Alice McCain. Memorial services will be held at Birdeye Veteran Cemetery, 3600 Highway 163, Birdeye, Arkansas on November 12, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Minister Jerry Parker officiating under the direction of Faith Funeral Service. Due to Covid 19 guidelines, a mask or other facial covering is required, a Covid 19 acknowledgement form is required to be signed, and social distancing will be observed.
